Chapter Championship date Set!
Get ready all you competitors!
The Canton Chapter Championship will be held on June 24 at The Legends. The winners in each flight will advance to the District Semi Final to be held on August 4 in Springboro Ohio and the Semi Final winners will advance to the Championship Finals on October 5 and 6 in St. Augustine, Florida.
In order to compete in the Championship Series, you must have a USGA handicap. Luckily this is one of the benefits of EWGA membership. All you have to do is post a minimum of five (5) 18-hole scores (two nine hole scores equals one 18 hole score) with at least two of these 18 hole scores from 2012. These scores must be posted prior to the handicap cut off date of June 19. Posting can all be done through the EWGA website.

Match Play Tournament Returns for 2012
The first year of the match play tournament between Monday and Wednesday night leagues was such a success that we will be having this fun event again this year.
On September 5, 10, 12 and 17 we will have a nine hole match on each night. The formats will be a 2 person scramble, and 2 person best ball, two person alternative shot and a singles match. All scoring will be net and league handicaps will be used. You do not have to play all four nights in order to participate, you can just sign up for the nights you can play.
We will have a dinner and celebration of the winner on Wednesday September 17.
This was a great event last year and we expect to have a better time this year, so plan on being there!
Who will be the Canton Chapter First Lady of Golf
This year we will offer another option to take part in the fun of the chapter championship day of golf.
We will find the Canton Chapter First Lady of Golf by having a local chapter tournament the same day as the official Chapter Championship. You do not need a USGA handicap to play in this event, you can use your league handicap.
We will play 18 holes at the Legends on June 24 (tee times are in the afternoon) and the lowest net score overall will be the First Lady.
